The Farm

The Arroyos

Arroyo Arabians is located in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley on the central coast of California just 30 minutes from Santa Barbara. Dr. Mario & Antonia Arroyo fulfilled their lifelong dream of owning horses when they started the farm in October 1986. Antonia enjoys showing in the amateur division and Antonia is a top competitor in the show arena with a U.S. National Championship in Purebred Western Pleasure AAOTR and Scottsdale Unanimous Champion Half-Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR to her credit. Antonia has also been Top Ten at the US Nationals in Half Arabian Country Pleasure.

Passing the Reins

In January 2015, Mario and Antonia passed the torch to Katie Fisher and Travis Burnett. Katie worked for Kelly Elm and the Arroyos when she moved to the Valley in 2000. She is up to the challenge of continuing the tradition of integrity, honesty, and fun that was established by Mario and Antonia. Katie enjoys riding and showing her Half-Arabians, Magniffique+ and Mystiffied+, both of which were bred by the Arroyos. Travis made his show ring debut in 2015 at the Foal Festival with his yearling gelding, Missbah AJF. You can always find the two of them either cheering on Team Arroyo riders in their classes or hosting BBQ's at the barn. They live on the Farm with their twin children, Gus and Ellie.
